Olfactory Bulb Odor Map

The first activity odor maps in the olfactory bulb were obtained by the Sokoloff method using 14C-2-deoxyglucose as a label for sites of glucose uptake in relation to neural activity (Sharp et al, 1975). The patterns for different odors were shown by Stewart et al (1979) in flat maps based on mapping coordinates (see detail). The data and the maps are accessed through the links below.
